Sculptural Firebowls have been commissioned by world class hospitality properties including RumFire, Waikiki; SouthWest Porch, Bryant Park, NYC; The Canyons Resort in Park City, UT and dozens more.
I believe creative re-use has the potential to spark new ways of looking at the world… if one thing can be turned into another, what else can we change? Successful recycled art encourages creativity in others— it's alchemical, magical, subversive, and transformative by nature.
Form + function— fine art sculpture with a purpose
Sculptural Firebowls are unique works of art hand-cut by artist John T. Unger. No two are exactly alike, as the designs are drawn free-hand. A signed stainless steel nameplate guarantees your firebowl's authenticity.
Made by hand in US from reclaimed industrial steel
My art is cut from 100% recycled, American made steel. If my job as an artist is to fill the world with "more things," I feel it is equally important that I reclaim materials from the waste stream to make space for my work.

Old Glory— Art Made of Americana
Old Glory is an American flag created from over 20,000 Budweiser bottle caps by artist John T. Unger. Each cap is individually punched, crimped and then nailed to plywood to form the image. Measuring ten feet tall by sixteen feet wide, for a total of 160 square feet, Old Glory is Unger's largest bottle cap artwork to date.
Commissioned by Golden Voice and Budweiser for the Stagecoach Music Festival, Old Glory was on display in Indio, CA from April 24 to the 26th of 2015.
