How would you like to make up to a hundred bucks when someone follows a link from your blog to mine and buys a firebowl? How would you like to do that over and over again, forever?
Last year I made over $150,000 almost exclusively through sales of art on my blog. And I'm not getting tons of traffic to make that happen… less than 100,000 unique visitors a year. If your blog (like many) has more traffic than mine, you could earn a pretty good side income by linking to my firebowls or even selling them directly on your blog.
With the economy in dire straights, I know that everyone is looking for ways to improve their bottom line. So far, the downturn doesn't seem to have affected my business much: 4th quarter sales of firebowls were still strong for me in 2008 with gross receipts of $45,710.64 between October 1 and December 31.
Part of what makes the success of my business thrilling for me is the fact that I've been able to expand and help others at a time when everyone else is forced to cut back. I'm ready to expand more, and that means I can share more as well. So I've set up an affiliate program through my E-junkie shopping cart to make it easy for you to earn monthly payouts by helping me to promote and sell my work.
You can use the banners I've created to promote the firebowls, or just use an affiliate text link from E-Junkie when you write about the firebowls, or you can create your own banners using any of the images from my site. To see an example of a site running the affiliate program visit http://www.materialicious.com and check out the strip of firebowl images in the sidebar.
If you need help with setting up your account, creating links or installing them on your blog, shoot me an email and I'd be glad to hook you up.

How much do you earn?
You earn 10% of each sale of a firebowl referred by your link or sold directly from your site. Payments are sent out within 15 days of the end of the month via PayPal Mass Payment, which means that you get the complete amount without any fee deductions from PayPal. I'll cover the cost of the transaction out of my own pocket. You must have a PayPal account to receive your commissions.
How it works:
Set up a free affiliate account at E-junkie.com by following the tutorial below. It's easy, it costs you nothing to sign up, and you'll get paid at
the beginning of each month for all sales generated from your leads. If
you link to only one item and a customer orders multiple items, you get
a percentage of the entire sale.
You can also create "Buy Now" buttons to sell firebowls directly from your
blog without linking to www.johntunger.com at all… As an affiliate reseller, all you
need to do is create a page or a post with buttons for all the items you'd like to sell. I'll process the order, handle the clients, do all the work, and you get paid a referral fee at the beginning of the next month! It's free money. If you have an online store or catalog with an existing shopping cart, you might want to consider applying for a dropship account here, to earn a higher commission on sales.
What do you need to get started?
- Sign up for a PayPal account if you don't have one already.
- Use the tutorial below to join my affiliate account at E-junkie.
- Feel free to copy any of the descriptions or images of firebowls in our store to promote the items on your own blog or website.
- Oh, and you'll need ten minutes of free time to set it up.
How to set up your free Firebowl Affiliate account
1. Visit my E-junkie Store and click the name or image of any of the items on sale there. It doesn't matter which one you click, because once you get set up you'll be able to create links or buy now buttons for any of the items in my affiliate program.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the catalog page until you see the sign-up link for my affiliate program. Click the link to go directly to the sign-up page.
3. Enter your email address and choose a password. It's important to use your real email address, of course, so that you can receive the activation code in your confirmation email.
Be sure that you save your password somewhere so that you can log in on future visits (Your browser will not be able to save it for you: as a security measure, you will always have to hand-enter your email and password to log in).
Click the orange Submit button, then check your email.
4. Enter the activation code from your confirmation email where indicated. Click the orange Submit button.
5. Enter your name and the PayPal email address where you wish me to send your payments. Your email address is required in order for me to send money to your PayPal account when you earn a commission. It will not be used for any other purpose. Click the orange Submit button.
6. This takes you to your Affiliate Account Page. Here you will be able to manage your profile, add products and view your earnings report. Select "Get Affiliate Account" to continue.
7. This page is where you select which affiliate program you want to create product links for if you have signed up for multiple affiliate programs. From the drop down menu choose "John T Unger," then click the "Get Affiliate Code" button.
8. From the drop down menu, choose the firebowl you want to create a buy now button or link for. Each product has it's own code, so you will need to repeat this step for each different firebowl you choose. Select the item, then click the "Get Affiliate Code" button.
9. This page will generate code for a "Buy Now" button or for a affiliate link to the page the product is listed on. All purchases referred from your site will earn you a 10% commission on the total sale amount. Your commission will be deposited in your PayPal account within 15 days of the end of the month.
Note: You must right click on a PC or crtl-click on a Mac to select and copy the button code.
10. Now you're all set up! Just paste your links or button code into your website and start selling.
